Production

Harvest

Originally from the Moluccan archipelago (Indonesia), the clove tree has acclimatized to the lands of the Indian Ocean, notably in Madagascar, the Comoros, and Zanzibar. Cloves are harvested just before the flowers begin to bloom. Once picked, they are separated from their stem, called the 'claw,' then dried and distilled.

Manufacturing

We source our clove bud essential oil from a local distillation partner who processes downgraded raw materials from the spice market.

Food flavor

Clove essential oil has a warm, spicy flavor, and can be used as an edible essential oil in cooking or in the creation of foodstuffs:
