Our labdanum absolute is naturally extracted with 40 years of expertise. Purchase directly from the producer for responsible quality.
This product has a pasty texture. To facilitate its use, gentle heating is recommended depending on its consistency:
• For pasty products or those that are difficult to handle at room temperature, you can either heat them slightly (e.g., in a water bath or dry oven) or use them directly with suitable utensils, such as spatulas.
Avoid exposing the product to high temperatures (do not exceed 40°C) to preserve all its natural properties. Once warmed or prepared, ensure you use clean utensils for transferring or applying it.

Production
Harvest
In a broad area of the Mediterranean basin, Cistus Labdanum grows wild. This remarkable shrub secretes resin in the summer to protect itself from evaporation during episodes of intense heat. Primarily harvested in southern Spain, the branches of the cistus are distilled or extracted to produce a wide variety of extracts.
Manufacturing
The integration of environmental and social principles into the sourcing policies of major perfumers, supported by the European Union and Spanish regional authorities, enabled our Spanish factory to invest in a labdanum cistus gum production unit operating in accordance with best practices in 2013. This unit ensures better control of the environmental and social aspects of Labdanum gum production.
