Harvest

Fresh seaweeds are harvested year-round, dried, and subsequently ground. Fucus vesiculosus, a brown algae that thrives in the cold waters of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, is found on exposed shores of the lower coastline.

Manufacturing

Used to impart marine and iodine notes to perfumes, seaweed absolutes are produced from seaweeds cultivated in Brittany.
