Description

Derived from an upcycling process, sheep's wool absolute is obtained from a by-product of the agricultural industry. This unique raw material is valued by Landema within a sustainability approach, giving a second life to a material that is often destined for destruction. The extraction process yields a concentrated absolute with a distinctive olfactory identity, used exclusively in perfumery. It is soluble at 10% in common solvents (EtOH, DPG, DEP...).

A raw material from the animal notes family, sheep wool absolute develops a persistent, fatty, and sensual scent, with a fruity undertone.

Production

Harvest

Called upcycling in French, it aims to use materials that are no longer in use to create products of superior quality or utility. Since its creation Landema has been committed to responsible sourcing and sustainability, upcycling co-products from the forestry industry as well as agriculture or its own distillations. If these co-products are not reused, they become waste and are destroyed. Landema gives them a second life by transforming them into new ingredients for perfumery.
