Harvest

Originally from Asia, the carrot is an herbaceous plant that has acclimated to temperate regions worldwide and is valued for the culinary qualities of its roots. Its seeds are rich in essential oils. The main plantations dedicated to seed production are located in the west and south of France, a country known for being a major carrot producer.

Manufacturing

The seeds are steam distilled to produce our carrot seed essential oil, at our production site in Provence.

Application

Carrot seed essential oil is used in fine perfumery and cosmetics for its contribution of softness, delicacy, and harmony to compositions. Its distinctive notes, reminiscent of the scent of the earth and roots, blend perfectly with floral, woody, or chypre notes.

Carrot extracts are incorporated into cosmetic products such as revitalizing creams and those used to firm the skin. They are suitable for various skin types, including dry, dull, combination, and oily skin, as well as for addressing concerns like cellulite and body care.

Its fruity notes are particularly well-suited for fruit aromas.

Main components:

• Carotol (60.00 to 80.00%),
• Beta-bisabolene (< 5.00%),
• Daucene (1.00 to 5.00%),
• Daucol (1.00 to 5.00%).

Usage tips

Manual:

Ingrédient parfumant. Teneur maximale : 3 gouttes pour 100 ml de composition finale Ne pas ingérer ni appliquer pur sur la peau. Tenir hors de portée des enfants. Ne pas utiliser pour les enfants de moins de 7 ans, les femmes enceintes et allaitantes, les personnes ayant des antécédents de troubles épileptiques ou convulsifs ainsi que chez les personnes allergiques aux huiles essentielles et extraits de plantes.
