Production
Harvest
The Commiphora Myrrha is a small tree endemic to the Horn of Africa, including Somalia, Ethiopia, and Eritrea. Collectors make an incision on the tree trunk, which then produces a resin that will be harvested several weeks later. This resin solidifies and forms rounded and irregular 'tears' of golden color that contain a significant amount of essential oil. The composition of the resin may vary depending on the harvesting areas.
Manufacturing
We source the tears from Somalia to offer you this myrrh essential oil. We distill it in our production unit in Le Sen, in the southwest of France.
