This product has a pasty texture. To facilitate its use, gentle heating is recommended depending on its consistency:
• For pasty products or those that are difficult to handle at room temperature, you can either heat them slightly (e.g., in a water bath or dry oven) or use them directly with suitable utensils, such as spatulas.
Avoid exposing the product to high temperatures (do not exceed 40°C) to preserve all its natural properties. Once warmed or prepared, ensure you use clean utensils for transferring or applying it.

Production
Harvest
The oak shavings we purchase come from the vast forests of Allier in France. Sourced from certified forests, the oak trees are harvested to create barrels and casks used for aging the finest wines. The wood, reduced into staves and finely refined, is stored and dried for over a year, releasing the finest tannins that will impart their expression during the wine aging process in the barrels. The oak shavings used for our absolute are by-products from the stave manufacturing.
Manufacturing
It is in our factory in the southwest that we process the shavings to produce high-quality extracts. For this purpose, Landema collaborates directly with a cooperage located in Bordeaux.

Perfumery
The oakwood extract offered by Landema evokes notes of oak barrels, sweet vanilla, malt, and peat, all wrapped in a gentle woody scent, definitively connecting it to its own narrative. The elegance it imparts to compositions, especially within masculine woody accords but also in oriental blends, makes it perfect for crafting a 'whisky' accord. It modernizes patchouli essential oil and proves to be an excellent booster for sandalwood.
