Production
Harvest
The first fragrance product manufactured by our company, established in 1980 in the heart of the Landes forest, was this essential oil of pine maritime needles. Certified PEFC for the plots where we harvest our needles, the Landes forest is emblematic of the Southwest of France and constitutes the largest forest cultivated by humans in Europe. The wood and paper industries are its main outlets. The needles used for distillation are a by-product of this forestry operation. They are harvested during the thinning of plots every 10 or 15 years.
Manufacturing
The harvested needles are steam distilled in the first unit built in our Landes factory. Once distilled, the needles are recycled and composted to make growing mediums.
