Growing
The almond tree (Prunus dulcis) is a fruit-bearing tree belonging to the Rosaceae family, known for its delicate blossoms that appear at the end of winter, enduring even early morning frosts. It is primarily cultivated in Mediterranean regions and certain warm areas, thriving in a terroir ideal for producing high-quality fruits.
The almond tree's fruit, a fleshy drupe, contains a hard shell that, when cracked open, reveals the almond. It is from this almond that sweet almond oil is extracted. Its pale yellow color and light texture make it a staple in the world of vegetable oils.
Manufacturing
After harvesting, the almonds are separated from their shells, then gently cold-pressed. This mechanical extraction method, carried out without the use of heat, ensures an oil rich in fatty acids and essential nutrients.
Once extracted, the oil undergoes a filtration phase designed to remove the natural impurities resulting from the pressing process. To achieve a smooth texture and better long-term stability, it is then refined and deodorized using gentle processes, without compromising its qualities. This step produces a neutral oil, ideal for cosmetic formulations and a variety of applications requiring a pure oily base free of any lingering odor.
We pay particular attention to the traceability of our oil, from the cultivation of the almond trees to its bottling in our workshops in France. Each batch undergoes rigorous testing to verify its composition, purity, and compliance with the most demanding quality standards.
