Thyme linalol Organic COSMOS
Description
Organic linalool thyme hydrosol: an aromatic extract from the Mediterranean basin
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.) is a perennial subshrub native to the Mediterranean basin, characterised by its small white to pink flowers and persistent grey-green foliage. Thriving in the arid, rocky soils of southern Europe and North Africa, it is recognised for its richness in volatile aromatic compounds. The linalool thyme hydrolate distributed by Landema is obtained by distilling organically grown thyme cultivated in France and processed at our production facility. It holds COSMOS certification.
Use in cosmetics
This hydrosol integrates into cosmetic formulations as an aqueous phase or hydrophilic active. The linalool chemotype, gentle and well tolerated, makes it particularly suited to formulations designed for sensitive skin. It is used in tonic lotions, care waters, mists and face creams.
The addition of Géogard® preservative extends the shelf life of this linalool thyme hydrolate while limiting bacterial growth. Not intended for food use.
