Tuberose
Description
A legendary flower native to Mexico, tuberose today flourishes at the heart of India, in the fertile regions of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Picked in the early hours of the day to preserve their full aromatic intensity, the fresh flowers are processed into concrete during two annual harvest campaigns.
Sourced through rigorous partnerships with Indian producers, the concrete is then transformed into absolute at the facility of the Biolandes group (of which Landema is a part), located in southwestern France. This mastered expertise, together with each laboratory quality check, ensures consistent quality that meets the highest standards of fine perfumery.
- Olfactory profile: A flower revealing rich vanillic and tiare-like nuances.
- Applications: A benchmark ingredient in fine perfumery and fragranced cosmetics, used to structure, sign and assert the character of a creation.
- Perfect accords: Essential in floral, oriental and exotic compositions. It can be used both as a dominant heart note and as an intoxicating floral touch.
- Composition: 100% Natural product, 100% pure and natural
- Country of harvest: INDIA
- Country of manufacturing: FRANCE
- Landema commitment: Produced in our distilleries

Harvest
Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.) has its roots in Mexico, but it is in southern India that it truly flourishes today, across the plantations of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. There, it goes beyond the mere horticultural realm: its flowers adorn garlands used in religious ceremonies and enliven markets almost year-round. Its aromatic production, meanwhile, follows a more tightly defined rhythm, marked by two annual harvest campaigns dedicated to producing the concrete. Picked in the early hours of the day, the flowers then reveal their full intensity.
Manufacturing
Tuberose concrete is sourced through a rigorous supply process with partner Indian producers. The absolute is then produced at the facility of the Biolandes group (of which Landema is a part), located in southwestern France, allowing for controlled processing in line with the quality standards specific to fine perfumery. Each batch undergoes quality control testing in the laboratory.
