A Journey Through the Origins of Ylang-Ylang
Native to the Moluccas, in eastern Indonesia, ylang-ylang, also known as the "flower of flowers," quickly spread across tropical islands, captivating enthusiasts of exotic perfumes and natural skincare.

This stunning tropical tree from the Annonaceae family is easily recognizable by its clusters of yellow flowers with long, flexible petals. Its blossoms, with their unique and rich fragrance, have inspired perfumers worldwide, becoming an essential ingredient for renowned perfumers and lovers of exotic scents.

On our farms in Comoros and Madagascar, each morning, harvesters walk through the plantations to gather these fresh flowers, ready to be distilled. This artisanal method, combined with our expertise, ensures the quality and freshness of our Ylang Ylang essential oil.

Manufacturing

Artisanal Manufacturing Process

The distillation of full Ylang-Ylang essential oil takes place on the island of Anjouan, in the Comoros. The freshly harvested flowers are steam-distilled in stills near the plantations, ensuring the preservation of the olfactory qualities and aromatic properties of the essential oil.

To obtain the so-called "complete" oil, the process is continuous over a period of 24 hours, ensuring the full extraction of the aromatic molecules from the flowers. This process can also be split to produce "extra," "first," "second," and "third" qualities, with each fraction offering unique olfactory characteristics. The complete essential oil, on the other hand, captures all the olfactory facets of the flower, from its fruity notes to its deep floral undertones.

Every step, from harvesting to distillation, is carried out with care to ensure a high-quality product that respects the uniqueness of this exceptional tropical plant.

Usage tips

Manual:

A utiliser en diffusion, de préférence à froid, à l'aide d'un appareil approprié. Diffuser sur des durées n'excédant pas 20 minutes. Ne pas diffuser dans une chambre pendant la demi-heure précédant le coucher ou pendant le sommeil. Assurer une bonne aération et ne pas diffuser dans des espaces confinés non ventilés. Ne respirer pas les huiles essentielles au-dessus de l’appareil de diffusion. Ne pas ingérer ni utiliser en application sur la peau. Tenir hors de portée des enfants. Ne pas utiliser pour les enfants de moins de 7 ans, les femmes enceintes et allaitantes, les personnes ayant des antécédents de troubles épileptiques ou convulsifs ainsi que chez les personnes asthmatiques ou allergiques aux huiles essentielles et extraits de plantes.
