Production
Harvest
Cultivated for the fragrance of its flowers, mainly in the Comoros Islands and Madagascar, this tropical tree is native to the Philippines. Its flowers are harvested every morning and steam-distilled during the day to preserve the freshness of the fragrance. The oil is distilled either through a continuous process to obtain the 'complete' essence or through a fractionated process to obtain the 'extra' fraction, followed by the 'first,' 'second,' and 'third' fractions, separated by their density.
Manufacturing
We cultivate ylang-ylang trees on our certified organic and FFL farm in Madagascar and distill the flowers in the dedicated distillery.

Perfumery
The complete oil, used in fine perfumery, cosmetics, or toiletries, reveals all facets of these beautiful flowers: fruity scents reminiscent of banana in the top notes, opulence in the heart, harmony, smoky effects, and long-lasting depth in the base. It blends well with oriental accords, especially with extracts of patchouli and cocoa.

Ylang extracts are used in the formulation of cosmetic products such as firming gels and lotions, bath gels, revitalizing floral creams, exotic body mists, shampoos, and hair care products. They are also employed in products for hair care, problematic skin, combination skin, tired skin, and nail care. Ylang essential oils easily blend with oils and emulsions and can be used in the perfume bases of cosmetics.
