Description
Our Ylang Ylang Extra essential oil is obtained through fractional distillation in the Comoros. It captures the full olfactory beauty of the freshly picked flower and offers an intense, floral, and exotic profile, ideal for perfumery, aromatherapy, cosmetics, or wellness care. Distilled in our facilities in the Comoros, ensuring expert craftsmanship that results in a professional-quality essential oil.
Note: For technical reasons, the vial used for the 1mL packaging has a capacity of approximately 4mL, so it is normal for it to appear about one-quarter full. The packaging is carried out using precise and calibrated laboratory equipment.

Harvest
A precious flower from the islands of the Indian Ocean
Native to the Moluccas archipelago in Indonesia, Ylang Ylang is a tropical tree from the Annonaceae family, whose flowers release an intense and exotic floral fragrance. Appreciated for centuries for its olfactory qualities, the Ylang Ylang flower was introduced to the islands of the Indian Ocean, particularly the Comoros and Madagascar, where it is now extensively cultivated.
These regions provide the warm and humid climate ideal for its growth. Every day, at sunrise, pickers roam the plantations to harvest the fresh flowers, ready to be distilled. This meticulous, daily harvest ensures the quality and freshness of Ylang Ylang essential oil.
Manufacturing
Our Extra Ylang Ylang essential oil comes from flowers grown and distilled in the Comoros, near our distillery.
The distillation of Ylang Ylang flowers is a handcrafted process, carried out in stills near the plantations. The freshly picked flowers are distilled for nearly 24 hours, either through an uninterrupted process to obtain the "complete" essence, or through a fractional process to obtain the "extra" fraction, followed by the "first," "second," and "third" fractions, separated by their density.
Here are the key steps in production:
-
Manual harvesting at dawn of fresh flowers, rich in aromatic molecules.
-
Steam distillation for about 24 hours, carried out in a fractional manner.
-
Separation of the fractions by density, with the "extra" fraction being the lightest, obtained in the first hours.
-
Filtration and analysis of the essential oil to ensure purity and compliance.
The "extra" fraction is particularly sought after in perfumery for its floral freshness and olfactory intensity.
