This product has a butter-like texture. To facilitate its use, gentle heating is recommended depending on its consistency:
• For pasty products or those that are difficult to handle at room temperature, you can either heat them slightly (e.g., in a water bath or dry oven) or use them directly with suitable utensils, such as spatulas.
Avoid exposing the product to high temperatures (do not exceed 40°C) to preserve all its natural properties. Once warmed or prepared, ensure you use clean utensils for transferring or applying it.

Production
Harvest
The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) is an iconic tropical palm found throughout the Indian Ocean, the Far East, the Pacific Ocean, and much of Africa. This wide geographic distribution is made possible by the natural buoyancy of its fruit—coconuts—which travel across ocean waters to reach new shores.
Coconuts are harvested manually or using poles, then opened to extract the white flesh. This flesh is dried and processed to obtain the oil. In keeping with a commitment to quality, Landema sources only coconuts grown through organic farming.
Manufacturing
The organic coconut oil we offer comes from the Philippines, a region renowned for the quality of its coconuts. The production process involves several steps:
- Harvesting and husking: The coconuts are picked at maturity and stripped of their fibrous husks.
- Pulp extraction: The white kernel is retrieved from inside the shell.
- Drying: The pulp is dried at low temperature to preserve its properties.
- Cold pressing: The oil is extracted mechanically, without solvents.
- Refining and deodorizing: To ensure a neutral scent and better stability, the oil is then refined and deodorized in Europe.
This process results in a refined coconut oil, ideal for demanding applications in cosmetics or food.
