Harvest

Cardamom is one of the very first plants to have been distilled for its essential oil: botanist Valerius Cordus documented the process as early as 1540. This member of the Zingiberaceae family thrives in Guatemala and India, two terroirs that give it slightly distinct aromatic profiles. Its green pods protect seeds rich in volatile aromatic compounds. Beyond its central role in Indian curries, this spice is inseparable from the Arabic coffee ritual and has been one of the world's most traded spices for centuries.

This cardamom essential oil (INCI: Elettaria Cardamomum Seed Oil) is listed as a fragrance, masking, and toning agent. As such, it is used in the formulation of face and body care products, where its warm, spicy profile provides an olfactory signature.

Aromatherapy :

Its biochemical profile is characterized by a predominance of terpinyl acetate (30 to 45%), accompanied by 1,8-cineole, also known as eucalyptol (25 to 37%), and linalool (≤ 8%). This composition makes it a valued ingredient in cosmetic formulation.
