Clove ORG
Description
Our organic clove bud essential oil is sourced from Madagascar, where the cloves are carefully harvested just before blooming, then dried and distilled locally. It is part of a sustainable value chain, as we work with a local distiller who uses only downgraded cloves rejected by the spice market, helping to reduce raw material waste.
Aromatic profile and composition:
Powerful and warming, this essential oil is exceptionally rich in eugenol (72–88%), a signature aromatic compound. It also contains eugenyl acetate (4–22%) and β-caryophyllene (2–14%), which give it its characteristic spicy, woody, and slightly sweet scent. Its color ranges from amber to light brown, and it offers an intense, warm, and long-lasting olfactory note.
Use as a food flavoring:
-
Savory dishes: Enhances stews, marinades, curries, and sauced meats.
-
Baked goods: Perfect for gingerbread, cakes, shortbread, or Christmas cookies.
-
Beverages: Adds a warm, stimulating note to herbal teas, mulled wine, or Ayurvedic infusions.
- Certifications: ORGANIC : Coming from organic farming, certified by ECOCERT FR-BIO-01
- Composition: 100% pure, natural and integral. Chemotyped.

Production
Harvest
Originally from the Moluccan archipelago (Indonesia), the clove tree has acclimatized to the lands of the Indian Ocean, notably in Madagascar, the Comoros, and Zanzibar. Cloves are harvested just before the flowers begin to bloom. Once picked, they are separated from their stem, called the 'claw,' then dried and distilled.
Manufacturing
We source our clove bud essential oil from a local distillation partner who processes downgraded raw materials from the spice market.
