A signature product: a first-rate raw material from controlled sources, exclusive manufacturing techniques and know-how, for an exceptional natural extract!

This cocoa absolute is pure and highly concentrated, solid or viscous, to be diluted in ethanol or heated slightly in a bain-marie (avoid exceeding 40°C to avoid degrading the properties of the natural extracts), to be dosed according to the desired intensity, generally around 1% of the finished product.

This cocoa absolute is not fat-soluble, so it is not suitable for blending with vegetable oils. This concentrated cocoa absolute is mainly soluble in ethanol for use in perfumery or food flavoring. Cosmetic use is not recommended, particularly in oily bases, as it will be very difficult to obtain a homogeneous, stable emulsion, especially technically without the use of alcohol.

Production

Harvest

The pods are the fruits of the cocoa tree cultivated in most tropical countries. These fruits are opened with a machete to extract their white beans. The beans turn brown and develop their typical aroma after being fermented, then cleaned and dried. They are then processed to separate the cocoa powder and cocoa butter.

Manufacturing

To produce our cocoa absolute, the cocoa powder undergoes a specific technical extraction process. Alcohol, a natural solvent, is used to extract the maximum amount of aromas. Then the alcohol is evaporated and recycled, leaving only the concentrated cocoa extract: our 'Signature' absolute, with its delicious and captivating scent.
