Production
Harvest
Belonging to the Geraniaceae family, 'Bourbon' geranium is a fragrant shrub resulting from a crossbreeding of different pelargonium species, leading to the botanical variety Pelargonium graveolens. Originally cultivated in the Grasse region, its cultivation has since spread to North Africa and Réunion, and it now thrives in Madagascar. It is the same botanical species as Geranium Rosat, but its terroir is different. Consequently, its fragrance differs, being more intense, softer, and more suave. Its properties are similar.
Manufacturing
Landema sources its certified Organic and Fair For Life Geranium Bourbon essential oil from a neighboring cultivator-distiller near our distillery in Madagascar. All our essential oils undergo thorough checks in our laboratory and are packaged in our workshop in Le Sen, Landes. A quality analysis certificate is provided with each ordered produc - you can find these documents in your order history within your customer account.
