Production
Harvest
A french raw material available year-round
Paris mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) extract comes from a short-cycle agricultural supply chain: cultivation typically runs about 5 weeks, ensuring year-round availability and consistent quality. Whole mushrooms are harvested in France at peak maturity, then quickly processed for extraction to preserve their characteristic creamy, fungal, and slightly lactonic notes.
In perfumery and flavor creation, Agaricus bisporus is prized for its unique mushroom/creamy signature able to round out a composition, add a rich, enveloping fatty dimension, and introduce an umami facet in savory flavor applications.
Manufacturing
A liquid extraction that captures the full aromatic profile
We use the whole mushroom with an innovative liquid extraction technique designed to faithfully reproduce its olfactory and gustatory spectrum.
This process yields an extract with long-lasting performance in perfumery and strong effectiveness in food flavor applications, with excellent stability over time.
To produce this white button mushroom extract, we use MCT, which serves both in the extraction process and as a carrier. MCT-medium-chain triglyceride-is a fraction of vegetable oil, typically produced from coconut or palm kernel oil. MCT consists mainly of the following fatty acids, classified as medium-chain triglycerides: C8 caprylic (octanoic) acid and C10 capric (decanoic) acid. Also called “caprylic/capric oil,” MCT carries the INCI designation “Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride.” It is an excellent carrier, widely used for food flavorings, perfumery, and cosmetics because it is neutral and very stable, with no known adverse effects, non-allergenic, and suitable for sensitive skin.
