Production

Harvest

Also known as blue chamomile, blue tansy is an herbaceous plant found in the wild in countries around the Mediterranean. In Morocco, it is traditionally collected in the wild, which can lead to overexploitation. We have established cultivation in our farm to sustain its production.

Manufacturing

The blue tansy cultivated in our farm is distilled fresh in our facilities. The intense blue color of the essential oil is due to the presence of the chamazulene molecule it contains.

Perfumery

The essential oil of blue tansy, used in very small quantities, brings rustic nuances as well as myrrh-like effects to compositions. Reminiscent of wild chamomile and blending well with musky accords, it is particularly suitable for oriental, spicy, fern, and floral accords. However, one must be careful about the impact of its very intense blue color.
