Origin and production:
Native to Asia (Himalayan region and southern China), Citrus sinensis became an iconic fruit in the Mediterranean from the 15th century onward, thanks to Portuguese explorers. Today, sweet orange is one of the most widely cultivated fruit crops in the world.
Our organic sweet orange essential oil is obtained by cold-pressing fresh peels after juice extraction, then filtered. We source it from a trusted local partner known for the high quality of their production.
Olfactory profile and composition:
Sweet orange essential oil releases an intensely fruity, sweet, and zesty aroma, characteristic of citrus fruits. It is composed mainly of limonene (over 90%), with traces of other terpenes. Its bright and sunny top note makes it a key ingredient in citrus accords in perfumery.

Production
Harvest
Originating from the region between the Himalayas and southern China, Citrus Sinensis was introduced to Europe by Portuguese navigators around the year 1400. The sweetness of its fruits and juice makes it one of the primary agricultural productions today.
Manufacturing
The essential oil of orange is obtained by pressing the peel of the fruits after juice production. We source our sweet orange essential oil from a local partner.
